Presentation of the Swedish Reference Genome Portal at the Living Data 2025 conference - Presentación del Portal Sueco de Genomas de Referencia en la conferencia Datos Vivos 2025

<p dir="ltr">This presentation outlines the scope, structure, and benefits of the Swedish Reference Genome Portal (SRGP) (<a href="https://genomes.scilifelab.se" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://genomes.scilifelab.se</a>), presented at the Living Data 2025 conference (<a href="https://www.livingdata2025.com/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.livingdata2025.com/</a>) (October 21–24, 2025, Bogotá, Colombia).</p><p dir="ltr">The SRGP makes genomic data that was previously difficult to access, particularly from local or specialised communities, easy to discover and explore through a single, intuitive browser. It reduces barriers to access while remaining efficient, straightforward, and scalable. By consolidating dispersed resources, it also establishes a reusable framework that can be adopted by other countries, institutions, or research groups.</p><p dir="ltr">The SRGP brings together data from a wide range of national and international repositories, including the <a href="https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/browser/home" target="_blank"><u>European Nucleotide Archive (ENA)</u></a>, <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/" target="_blank"><u>National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)</u></a>, <a href="https://figshare.scilifelab.se/" target="_blank"><u>SciLifeLab Data Repository</u></a>, <a href="https://biodiversitydata.se/" target="_blank"><u>Swedish Biodiversity Data Infrastructure</u></a>, <a href="https://www.slu.se/en/slu-swedish-species-information-centre/" target="_blank"><u>SLU Swedish Species Information Centre</u></a>, <a href="https://goat.genomehubs.org/" target="_blank"><u>Genomes on a Tree (GoaT)</u></a>, <a href="https://www.gbif.org/" target="_blank"><u>Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF)</u></a>, and <a href="https://www.iucnredlist.org/" target="_blank"><u>IUCN Red List of Threatened Species</u></a>.</p><p dir="ltr">The open-source code of the SRGP is available in the project’s GitHub repository (<a href="https://github.com/ScilifelabDataCentre/genome-portal" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://github.com/ScilifelabDataCentre/genome-portal</a>).</p><p dir="ltr">This service is developed and maintained by <a href="https://www.scilifelab.se/data/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">SciLifeLab Data Centre</a>.</p><p dir="ltr">------------ [ En español ] ------------</p><p dir="ltr">Esta presentación describe el alcance, la estructura y los beneficios del <a href="https://genomes.scilifelab.se/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">Portal Sueco de Genomas de Referencia</a>, o SRGP por sus siglas en inglés (<a href="https://genomes.scilifelab.se" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://genomes.scilifelab.se</a>), presentada en la conferencia Datos Vivos 2025 (<a href="https://www.livingdata2025.com/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.livingdata2025.com/</a>) (21–24 de octubre de 2025, Bogotá, Colombia).</p><p dir="ltr">SRGP facilita el acceso y la exploración de datos genómicos que antes eran difíciles de encontrar, especialmente los procedentes de comunidades locales o especializadas, a través de un único navegador intuitivo. Reduce las barreras de acceso manteniéndose eficiente, sencillo y escalable.
