Target audience: Life Science community

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the presentation you will be able to:
* describe the concepts of the Mastery Rubric
* identify the KSAs and Stages
* describe the concepts of the Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs)
* start to use the MR-Bi could be applied to your courses and/or Professional developmental trajectory

Abstract: The recorded presentation introduces the Mastery Rubric for Bioinformatics, describing its structure and how it charts performance as learners traverse a developmental trajectory from lower- to higher-order critical thinking skills (according to Bloom's level).
The specific focus is on understanding the Rubric’s key elements, and how the tool may be used to assess learner development and inform course design.

Description of the conference: GOBLET (https://www.mygoblet.org/) is active in the bioinformatics training community with the mission to set standards and provide high-quality resources to support learning, education and training. GOBLET is yearly holding an Annual General Meeting (GOBLET AGM) and in 2021 with topics such as FAIR training and Bioinformatics education.
