The Editorial - Surveillance of antimicrobial resistance – flying blind or flying behind? (https://www.pathogens.se/editorials/environmental_amr_surveillance/) was published on the Swedish Pathogens Portal on the 18th September 2024. This Editorial is a thought-piece on how environmental tracking of antimicrobial resistance should be done. It aims to provoke discussion between scientists and stakeholders, particularly in light of upcoming EU legislation.

Editorials on the Swedish Pathogens Portals are short, opinion-style articles discussing current thinking in an area related to pandemic preparedness. Some editorials are be written in-house by the portal team, but most will be contributed by members of the Portal Editorial Committee, or external contributors. To read all Editorials, see pathogens.se/editorials/.
